Default Trying to figure a problem out

ok guys, i was another member that had the same problem as northcyprus i believe is his s/n and how the s2k feels a lot slower and more like a b16 then an f20c so i have decided to go to the track if possible today or sometime this week to find out if the car has or is being affected by a problem. I am sure if i run a 14.0 then it would kinda be obvious that i "might" not have a problem wiht the car but who knows ima take this step and see what happens. i had a quick question tho, what is the best way to launch the car? let me know if this way works that i am about to explain...rev it at about 7k's, e-brake up and slightly let go of the clutch untill i feel the car gettin ready to move a lillll tiny bit and once the light goes green i drop the e-brake and clutch at the same time but i am pretty sure this method will burn my clutch but for right now its ok i can live iwth a couple runs of doing that if that is the best and correct way of launching this car. any advice would be appreciated thanks guys!

isn't it just easier and less likely to inflict damage by doing a compression test? Let's say someone tells you the proper way to launch and you screw it up. Blow up part of your drivetrain, how would that solve your problem? I mean if you are going to run it, because that's what you like to do, that's fine. But running it to figure out if you have a problem doesn't seem to make much sense to me. But, that could be just me. There are to many factors in a 1/4 mile run that can make your validation of a 14 sec car way off base.

dont do the e-brake thing. Your reaction times will suck and the clutch probably wont make it.
