Default TSB for conv top latches...

Not sure if this has been discussed (don't hang around in S2k talk much) but I took my car in today to get it looked at. Over the past few weeks my top had developed some lift on the passenger side, so bad that you pratically had to scream to your passenger to talk to 'em with the windows up at anything past 70mph.

Apparently there's a TSB for the problem that involves installing new latch mechanisms, he mentioned something about the new hardtop using them but I didn't quite catch that. Anyways they have to order the parts and it's all covered under warranty.

Just thought I'd post in case anyone else is experiencing lift/noise problems too.

Just wanted to post a followup:

Took my car back in today after the parts came in, the conv top latches (or "strikers" as they called them) were replaced with the ones from the hardtop, which I guess are beefier. They also lubed and make sure everything was tight. The wind lift is all gone!!! I can't believe how much quieter it is now, very happy.

But as such I really notice the noise on deceleration. So what's the jist on TSB54? works? doesn't work? pros? cons?
