Default Tsb 01-037

I'm a little confused about TSB 01-037. I thought it was about replacement of the top latches; however, the TSB talks only about replacing the striker plates and not the latches. Has anyone had this done, and was the fix effective? My dealer has ordered the parts (before I read the TSB). I assumed they would replace the latches, as someone had said earlier in this forum. Comments?

I had this TSB done last week and there is a very noticable difference. I had complained about a rattle 2 weeks ago and the dealership told me that is was normal but when I went back last week for something unrelated, they told me about the TSB. I thought they did the whole latch but I could be mistaken.

Whatever they did definitely helped.

It was my understanding that the replacement striker plate is the same one you get that comes with the hardtop. If it is, it DOES make the top latch more securely.

Thanks, I'll guess I'll reserve all judgements until the work is done.
