Cool TSB054

Like most of you MY00-01ers out there, my car was plagued with the fading tail lights and the noisy clutch. When my tail lights were fixed through a warranty last month, I was ecstatic!! Then a friend of mine who works at honda contacted their american honda rep to see what they could do about my clutch problem. My car was out of warranty so I thought I would have to pay the 1200 for the TSB like everyone else.

The rep told me that honda would cover the labor ($900+) if I bought the clutch disc (approx. $120). Ofcourse I accepted and took my car in to the shop. The mechanics then called me the next day saying that my pressure plate and bearings were kind of worn... so they suggested that I get those changed too... since labor was free. So I accepted that too (another approx. $280).

So I go in to pick up my car and pay for the parts today, and to my surprise my friend at honda says "wow... it must be your lucky day..." and hands me the bill. It said that honda covered BOTH labor AND parts!!! So I got it all done for free!!!

I LOVE HONDA!!

CONGRTULATIONS! You Were there 10 Billionth Customer. haha jk.Sweet Deal dude. Thats nice of them considering I hear a lot of negative comments about the Service Department at most Honda dealerships. Once in a life time deal. Mind I ask which Honda Dealership you patroninzed?

I didn't have to pay for mine either, but mine is honda certifed used. What a load of crap that is. But they did put a new plate in it, but it didn't seem to help the rattle.

I had it similar...except I bought an ACT HD Pressure plate and Comptech lightweight flywheel, along with T.O. Bearing, with my money, and they installed all that stuff free of charge..it was cool

TSBs are NOT related to warranties. Whether a car is in or out of warranty or whether you have purchased extended warranty or whether it is a certified used car, has no relationship to TSB work.

So what dealership is this thats so nice? ... If you're in Gaithersburg, MD ... then you're not too far from where I live. Maybe it'd be worth the trip up to MD to goto a good dealer versus the dealers in NOVA who I haven't always heard the best things about
