While I extend my deepest sympathy to the families of the deceased (tee real victoms) the bottom line is that the drivers in this case were struck with a serious case of the DUMB Sh#Ts. I am very familiar with this area of Roosevelt. There are traffic lights, unsignaled entrances, cross overs from the inner lanes to the outer lanes, a block from a middle school ,at 2:00 in the afternoon ,on the outer lanes which are there to service local traffic. while I respect everyone's view about judging others there are times when the parties involved use such bad judgement with such tragic consequences you have to identify it for what it is,"Gross Stupidity". Such senseless death make me angry!

Russ...it is frightening how similar our views are. While I still drive quickly most of thetime, when I am really out for fast driving I al REFUSE to take a passenger. I am only 26, but have been lucky enough to drive pretty much every type of car out there. Seriously. BMW's, Porsche's, Ferrari's, even Lamborghini's. I have been over 160mph several times, over 170 mph almost as many times, and even driven over 180mph. One day somebody asked me, "What would you do if you blew a tire," and I had no real answer. From that point on I stopped taking passengers on my ultra-high speed ventures. If I die, that's my problem...I'm not taking them with me. By the way...those super fast speeds were on OPEN, STRAIGHT, ROADS! NO OTHER CARS WERE AROUND, so it was just me if something went wrong. I run solo at high speeds now.
