two separate questions
I have two separate questions and didnt feel like making two separate threads
1) Has anyone made or bought a lap blanket for their S? For those of you not familiar with what I mean, the older MG's I believe had the option of buying a lap blanket that hooked to the inside of your car, had a hole for the shifter, and covered the passengerside as well. I was just wondering if anyone did this since wintertime is right around the corner. I'm interested in doing it.
2) I notice that when I lower my top that my passenger side window lowers without a problem, however the driver side window does not--it stops after lowering about 2-3 inches. Does anyone know what is going on here? And is this something that I could fix without taking it to the dealer? The window raises and lowers normally, but its annoying that it doesnt automatically lower like the passenger side does.
Thanks

Never heard of anyone offering the lap blanket or of anyone making one for their car. I would be interested also as I had the same thing on my '79B and I loved using it in the cooler weather.
There is a TSB for the regulator in the drivers side window from Honda. Take the car in and it is covered under warranty. This has been a common problem I had it repaired early on and have had no problem since.

thanks for the info--maybe I'll look on ebay and try and come up with something as far as making the lap blanket. If anyone else has tried this, let me know....
since the window thing is a TSB, and my car is out of warranty, they arent going to fix it now without me paying right?

on the window thing:
1) a TSB CAN be done for free at the dealer as a 'good faith' repair. Its up to the dealer.
2) the TSB calls for the replacement of the window regulator. However, it seems someone found a fix here on this site. You can reset the regulator motor with the window switch... try a search, but i think the procedure is: key to 'on' , roll window all the way up, release pull up on the switch again, hold for 3 secs. roll the window all the way down. release, then hold down 3 secs. You should hear a 'click' from the motor. I just had the dealer do it, cuz my car still in warranty.
