Sunoco has 93 here in NY. It is typical 2-3 cents more than 91, so it is a no-brainer to run 93 when I have the opportunity.
the places CO has is like .... shell and conoco...not to mention 7/11

wtf do you mean switch? Did you miss the big ass sticker on the inside of the gas lid that says "Premium Fuel Only" (assuming AP1s are equipped with said sticker)?

91+ only...anything less and you should kill yourself.

your OP suggests that you've been using non-premium fuel....which is retarded.

Just FYI: They generally don't carry anything higher than 91 octane at gas stations in the Western, US. 93/94 octane is an East Coast thing. Not sure why.

Never put 87 or 89 in your S.

And you don't gain any HP in your car by putting higher ocatane fuels without the proper modifications and tuning.

One of the Colorado guys switched to E85 with K-Pro. He only gained around 5HP. 93 wouldn't do us any good at this altitude, just a waste of money IMO. If you look hard enough there are a couple places you can buy 93 in CO.

BTW - I'm from Aurora too.

Higher octane DOES NOT EQUATE TO MORE ENERGY/POWER whatever. It just means it has a higher knock resistance under compression. It has the same energy/ounce. An engine NEEDs the minimum of what it was designed for (91+ for us) to prevent detonation and will not benefit from using higher.

Changing to higher and retuning is basically changing the design point of the engine and when people talk about this they normally mean changing boost/timing.

If you didn't read any of that then.... DON'T RUN ANYTHING LESS THAN 91 IN YOUR S!
