I could get an older seat, but it would cost a ton to have it re done like the CR seats. Starting in 06+ the passenger seats do not recline very far. It's not a big deal, like I said I was just seeing if anyone knew if it were possible.

I wonder if it'd be easier to modify the reclining mechanism of the passenger seat instead. Like use the reclining mechanism / hinge from an earlier seat or a different seat all together. Or maybe there's a tab that can be ground or hinged to let the seat recline back farther.

Anyone remove their 06 passenger seat and know what prevents the reclining?

Since the seats are sold in pieces, maybe you could use the seating surfaces of the CR with the reclining bits of a different seat / year?

Ding ding ding - we have a winner. Look at the seat reclining mechanism and figure out how you can increase its motion. It should be pretty straight forward.

I hope you hurt your back and have to be subjected to riding with someone whos seat is so uncomfortable you'd rather take the bus.

I took my seat out but it looks like the stop is inside a solid peice and not directly assessable. I can try looking again but its clearly not an easy fix.

Wait, the passenger side seat doesn't slide back and forth?

CKit, I think you are right, there has to be a way to modify it. I'm not really familiar with how to do it, however I did take the seat out and look at it last week to see if I could adjust it, but I didn't spend too much time with it.

The MY08-MY09 have a different weight sensor and it's tied into the seat rail rather than the sensor pad on the earlier models, so swapping out the bottom portion of an earlier seat model might not match up right, but I'm not really sure.
