I suspect you have an ulterior motive in this reclining seat project.

In any case, ditto on modding the OEM seat, it'll be way cheaper.

 

I never even realized the passenger seat has a reclining issue. For me the it seems the seat stops reclining b/c it hits the back of the car. I've had shorter people in my MY07 and it doesn't seem to be an issue.
