#4 THE PURIST. The one who leaves everything stock and curses out anyone who even mentions the word mod in a sentence as OEM is all they know and also they love to take the back roads in pure bliss.
You can put me in this category. My recently purchased '06 has been returned to pure stock with OEM wheels (previous owner had buggered the car with expensive black wheels). BUT I did put the K&N intake on it for the induction sound! Stock air box is in the attic.

Oh yeah, the wild customization of clear side lights (by the S2000 logos) and a CR shift knob. The real purists probably hate me. The red line warning horn will go on the car in the spring (no time this year) 'cuz the car hits the rev limiter too quickly in 2d and 3d gears.

I'm a stig purist, as I always considered myself. I don't follow the "form over function" state of mind. Mild performance upgrades and hard driving in the twisties, but I'm gonna keep the car mostly oem. No track just yet, purely because I need to pay my ap1 off completely incase I bin it.

stig....I sold my 400+ hp civic because although hwy pulls and drag racing was fun, the excitement is that of a rollercoaster....the second you step off the ride its over. road racing puts me on days long high...so much more fun...

the civic just couldn't handle much more than 10 min and was playing a peddling game...the s2k I just burry the peddle and go....I did a 30 min session without so much as a hiccup.

im loving it.

I also thing we are all a little purist at heart. part of the reason the s2k is such a great car is its so damn good in stock form.

Was your civic supercharged or turbo?

turbo

Purist but not to the point where I am anti-mod. I can appreciate wanting to make it your own, wanting to make it better, but please, function and tasteful visual mods only. These cars are too special to ruin.

#6 DRIFT KING.

I'm definitely a mix of tuner and stig, but I also enjoy going to track event where the main focus is having fun and sliding about in your car. It's honestly a blast and a half.

Tuner: Volks, kwv3, HKS intake, Comptech header, Berk cat, HKS HiPower, Mugen rep, Vafc neo, Clazzio, head unit, OEM front spoiler. Meaty tires, no stretch, drives it like I stole it, but with white glove maintenance and care.

Touch of purist:AP1. Absolutely no cutting of my car. No AP2 "upgrades". No AP2 radio windows, no AP2 center consoles, no AP2 taillights, no AP2 headlights, no AP2 bumpers.

Touch of Stig, occasional track day.

Touch of drag junky, with supercharger coming.

I don't fit neatly in any category either.

I'm a Purist, in that to a casual observer, my car looks stock.

I'm a Tuner, in that I have done things to improve it. Complete stereo upgrade, Fujitsubo exhaust, Bilstein PSS9s, Volk wheels, etc.

I'm a Stig, in that I drive on the track from time to time, but usually in the Porsche.

I'm a purist. It's way too awesome out of the box for me to want to fiddle with it.
