Tyre Pressures.....Again
The reason (sort of) for the thrashing in the above post was I was experimenting with 36psi (2.6 Bar) in the tyres.
The Belgian dealer set the pressure at about 40psi, so I left it like that because I loved the feel of the car. Yes, the ride is jittery, and the rear is hoppy in bumpy corners. and on damp off-camber bends, the snapping tail was breathtaking
However, the zero understeer, precise steering and gentle drifting of the rear in the dry were superb. You could feel the (light) steering load up as the car reached its limits and feel the rear getting nervous. Ideal for learning the car.
At 36psi, the steering seems vague, like a Civic. Both ends probably grip better, but the rear steps out slightly with less warning and adjustability.
The tyres have 2500 miles from new, so possibly need to settle into the new attitude.
I will probably put them up to 38 tomorrow, & try again in cooler, wetter conditions.
This isn't a Leg-End. The only time my S-02's will see 32 if if they've got nails in them!!!

I am currently running 35-33 Front-rear ratio since i do autoX. That has worked best for me, i sometimes go up to 36-34 depending on asphalt condition.
So far, this has given me the best results. Try it.
