U must track your S2K! VIDEO INSIDE!
OK... I had my VERY first track event of any kind last weekend in Pensacola, FL. I was treated like a king by CG and the guys in the Vette club there. I can only hope that others are as fotunate as myself and my wife to have such a positive experience when tracking your car for the first time.

CG's run
One thing to note about CG's run. He did in my car that had mushy brakes, bald rear CHEAP Toyo tires, and my wife in the car!
CG noticed that things were not right with the tires so we decided to check the pressure. That is when we discovered a 10psi difference between the rear tires. When we checked them again we noticed a 15psi difference. OH NO!!! I had sprung a leak! My racing day was OVER
Apparently there is a rule in racing that you must have FOUR inflated tires to be allowed on the track... considering it was my first time I had to trust that they were not just making that rule up
)
CG took me on a hot lap around the "long" course in his personal S2K. There is no doubt in my mind that everyone needs to take their "S" atleast ONCE to a road course. Just the mental state of, "OK let me get this staright... I am suppossed to take my sports car and go as fast as I possibly can!" is wonderfull.
This wasn't a competitive event so that is why I posted this in the general forum. CG also noticed that due to the angle of the video that it looks like we go VERY wide on the cone before the straight away gates. He assured me that it IS the angle.
Also it might be easier if you right click and "save as" instead of just clicking directly on the link this way Windows Media Player doesn't load first. I made them WMV files because it was the easiest for me to make. Each video file is about 2 megs each.
I have to admit... getting that flat really bummed me out. It was like going to a Michael Jordan basketball camp and being the only person to show up with MJ as your personal instructor. Then during your first warm up shot you break both legs!
I hope everyone has as much fun watching these as I did creating them

This is more like autox but there is not a whole lot of twisting and turning. U must had a lot of fun. I still remember my first run at the autox. It was an experience to remember. Thanks for sharing the videos.
too bad about the flat. i guess it wasn't possible to run to a nearby garage and have them fix it? i wish our cars could accomodate full size spares - just to bring to track days tho cuz they're heavy.
at least you had fun!

I actually had to take it to a nearby shop and have it fixed. The problem is it took them 3 hours. It was on a Sunday.
The "nearby" shop was actually about 30 minutes away.
Yeah I did have a blast. I am glad that everyone likes the videos.

Well true about the cones.... except for one section where there was a tree around the bend coming out of the gates.
I nevered dream that my first track experience with the S2K would be sponsored by vette guys
The local vette scene here isn't very friendly to imports.
