after driving it soo much.. u wont even notice the stiff ride..... you'll jus notice it when u actually pay close attention... aside from that all u want to do is go fast.. especially if its ur day to day car!!

Mine is an 07 but with the AP1 engine (ME market) and I love driving this car as my daily driver.

You have to know what your getting into if your considering a S2000. I've lowered both of my previous Integra's and they felt worse to drive than this S. The handling of the S is like no other car I've driven and its completely bone stock at the moment (most likely will remain so).

You'll find the car urges you to drive a little faster both in traffic and alone and this is where the car shines. Excellent road manners and the interior is simply perfect for my build (5'11") so it feels like a fighter jet to me(not that I've ridden in one).

Go and get it and use it daily...this is what driving and living is all about!

This thread came at the perfect time. I was thinking of making one very similar, but no need.

Ive been in love with S2K since theyve come out but never had the funds to pull the trigger. Now im kinda inbetween a B5 S4, 2gen DSM and the S2K. The dsm isnt really my style, but it's kinda the middle between the S2k and S4. The S4 would just kill me to fix if anything broke, which it would. My only issue with the S2K is the lack space. Which i only really need once in awhile, so im really thinking of picking one up as a daily. And i live in NE Ohio

I DD'd my '03 for over 2 years. Did many 6+ hour drives with it and never had a problem. It IS smaller than the average car, harsher than the average car, and louder than the average car.

Having said that, I sold mine for a Trailblazer SS and miss the shit out of my S2K every day. What your grandmother`/`father might call a nuisance I enjoyed as personality of the car.

Do a search on how many people sold their S2K, regretted it, then bought another before you buy into some wussies write-up on comfort....

NOT easy to live with if its your daily driver and you generally pick up more then a couple of women.

Otherwise its fine.

No kidding. I was reading your thread on S2kA, and I feel your pain. Major withdrawal.

Are you driving rental cars now? I think I'd call most of the cars on your list "mundane." At least up there in Atlanta you can rent an exotic if the need for speed gets to be too much.

I think Tak_one_77 hit the nail on the head. It's not the ride or power band that makes the car so hard to live with, it's all the time you have to spend fending off the ladies.

That could only be written by somebody who has never driven an Exige.

I am looking to get an S2000 in a month or so. I drove a model year 2000 and liked it; I expect the 2007 to be better and will be test driving one soon.

The latest Road & Track, in forecasting a new, small roadster from Honda, called the S2000 "the ultimate penalty box" in day to day use due to the stiff ride and high-revving nature. Is it really THAT bad in day to day use? I don't want a weekend garage queen. I suspect this article was written by someone who hasn't actually lived with one for a while, and was just taking info they read and came up with the phrase. Still, a test drive doesn't always tell you what a car is like to drive day to day. I have a 1997 Miata and I don't mind driving it all the time, though it is worlds apart top-up vs. top-down.

I'd even like to... -gasp- take the S2000 on a road trip once in a while, maybe 200-300 mile radius.

Anyone who has lived with the latest S2000, pleae chime in...
Maybe the R&T people are babies and like to go to work chauffeured in a Phantom.

It probably depends on the kind of person you are. I wouldn't mind driving to work in a go-cart because it's so much fun. 33 miles to work every day here and loving every minute of it. I had a DD but I never drove it. Nothing beats feeling like Schumi before doing the grind. Play before Work, ALWAYS!
