Why waste my time, I'm happy with what I'm driving. Eitherway a less than 10% change in steering ratio is beyond feel, even if the tires didn't null out the change.

Everyone that I personally know that has gone from AP1 to AP2 like the AP2 significantly more and also as proven by the majority on this thread, people that have gone from AP1 to AP2 like the AP2 significantly more than the AP1. Don't tell me this is biased. This is factual information based on what people have stated, which is based on their experience.

Just saying people that have gone from 1 to 2 like 2 better doesnt help anyone though.

What do they like about the AP2 better? Is it just having a slightly better torque curve for daily driving? Do they like the looks better? Handling? I've never driven an AP2 so I can't say, but since some people have, they should chime in why they like it better, not just that they do.

the reasons for liking or not liking AP1 or AP2 over one another has been beaten to hell and back. If they have personally prefered one over the other, stating those same reasons over and over again does not add any credibility becaues we all know what the differences are between the two models.

1) If you're going to tell people they're wrong and you haven't daily driven both like I have then ya maybe you should "waste your time" so you know what you're talking about.
I'll tell whomever I want whatever I want with checking with you first buddy.

[QUOTE=ttah,May 18 2007, 01:50 PM]3) 10% steering ratio beyond feel?

There is no such thing as Fact based on personal preference.
The fact that they like the AP2 is their opinion and opinion only. Stating "factual information" based on opinion, no matter how many people, makes you look foolish.

WTF are you smoking?

This brings up an interesting point though, we should make a poll...
Which is the best
[] AP1
[] AP2

We could even do the following, sense we'll be arguing about this next year:
Which is the best
[] 00-01
[] 02-03
[] 04-05
[] 06-07

I wonder if they could have given us both torque and 9k by increasing the bore. Of course that would have required a slightly large block, and cost Honda more.
The whole powerband on the AP2 shifted down 1k rpms. Even if you could rev an AP2 to 9k, it wouldn't do much good since the power curve drops off so much sooner. 9k is like the volume knob that goes to 11 in Spinal Tap - it really is ancillary to the car and the extensive changes Honda made, but some people really like the idea of an engine that redlines at 9k. Honda made hundreds of changes to the car, and to focus on redline is to miss the forest for a tree.

i owned an 03 for a year before i traded it on an 06. for me, i loved the changes. the ap1 looked/felt a little dated. revving to 9k was a blast, and i do miss it sometimes. but the ap2 made up for it in so many ways. of course, the torque, which was something i noticed on the test drive and fell in love with. the look of the ap2 also wins my heart. i also loved all the little gadgets they threw into the 06/07's. plus, it was nice to get a brand new car, have a warranty, etc. i've had the 06 for 7 months now, have put almost 10k miles on it, and it has definitley shown itself a lot better than my 03 did. many people say they feel huge differences between the ap1 and ap2, honestly, i feel that is BS. i did 2 trips to chicago and back in the ap1 and a trip back to va. after getting the ap2 in chicago, and they are very similiar. both very irritating to drive on the highway, and both very stiff. wish i could own both, but couldnt afford it.
