Under 25 years old: S2000 and Insurance

Gotta love the parents.
Nvy, I think that's what I will do. Have my parents co-sign my loan and have my insurance agent place me under them. He always makes it sound like he's doing me a big favor. He is, but it's not unprecedented.
What's an insurance company that will allow this?

You might get an online quote from a company like Progressive Insurance. They supposedly will give you a quote from a number of different companies, not just theirs'. I think you can find them at www.progressive.com.

you might also want to try geico. if you have an affiliation with a college or service branch or professional society you might be able to get up to a 15% discount. i've checked competitors but geico's the cheapest for me. i pay less than 125/mo but i haven't received any tix. also, i have my own policy.
good luck.
good luck.

I pay $625 a year (full coverage) due to the fact that assume that the car is stored for 4 months out of the year. I have a "sunny day" policy though, so I am covered on those nice days in November when I take it out for that last spin.

I'm 26 and was shocked that my insurance increased slightly when going from the 99 Corvette Coupe to the S2000.
Actually, the insurance on the S2000 is about the same as it would have been on a Corvette convertible...
a bit of a surprise given the obvious performance differences between the S2000 and the Corvette...
Of course, with the large number of crashed S2000s on the forum, it might explain a bit about claims history
I guess in some way, this means we can blame Greg Stevens for the high insurance, right?

I live in Louisiana. Insurance here is outragous. However, the cost of insurance for me 23 single male, is less than half of what it would cost me for a new vette. My record is ok maybe one or two tickets actually on my record, none extream, and I am under my parrents policy, and mine will run me1600 for 6 months.

I am 21 and pay $3000 a year for crazy amounts of insurance. When I go to CA it is going to drop to $2000. www.geicodirect.com. They seem to be the best for younger drivers.
