Libel is a legal claim for false statements of fact about a person that are printed, or otherwise communicated to others. Libel generally refers to statements or visual depictions in written or other permanent form.

I am just saying that trick is probably just very upset and made some assertions based on what he knew. I am not saying that Hardtop guy is good or bad, I am just saying that we shouldn't be quick to assert legal claims against trick without understanding when these legal claims can be asserted in the first place..
I just read the previous thread started by a-t-o. Sometimes it is difficult to follow his posts. From what I gather, you are not actually referring to the bumper plugs which cover the holes left behind when removing the front license plate and cost $6, but the tow-hook covers, no? Not that the actual item matters. I made this assumption because a-t-o stated that he was waiting for both the front and rear ones.
Everyone wonders why this guy is getting flamed? Why is it that sooooo many people are ready to stand up for Jeff?
I think Jeff's reputation more than speaks for itself. He and his brother have always been honest and gone the exta mile to help out this community. Additionaly, Hardtopguy is not the only sponsor/member to have difficulties shipping to Canada. The shipping system is full of problems. You will hard pressed to find members that have had their phone calls returned or emails answered in a resonable amount of time.
To call another person a theif i.e. stating that they planned to steal from you, requires some good proof ... something you are lacking. As far as Jeff and Joe not commenting, did you all consider that maybe they didn't want to start an internet pissing contest i.e. Rick threatening not to ship to Canada. Maybe they were taking the high road. Lastly, for those that don't care that they are doing the jobs of 6 people, ever consider that is how they are keeping their cost down and then passing the savings on to us?
In short, pull your head out of your ass and think a little bit before questioning another person's character. (BTW, if I have not deleted them, I will post some PMs that will shed some light on the Tricked Out's character).
Here are the PMs and a little backround info. I was selling a veilside version 1 rear spoiler. I had already made a deal when I get a PM from ATO (all-tricked-out) asking me to sell him the spoiler. I inform him its been sold, and he counters with (paraphrasing) "tell him it was broke and sell it to me". So, this guy wanted me to lie and screw someone else over. He was ok with this, it didn't bother him a bit. So now, we're are supposed to believe someone with questionable ethics vs. Jeff, a guy that has been more than honest and dedicated to this community.... ahhhh, no.

That's fine as long as they tell you up front that in return for the low price you may not get responses to email or phone calls. I find it strange that even people happy with their previous orders echo similar comments about not getting calls returned or email replies. Apparently that's SOP and some people are fine with that - to each his own. There are retail stores I won't shop at either because of poor treatment of customers (and they have low prices too). Everyone has to decide whats important to them.
