Do these GPS units have clocks? I'm constantly looking at aftermarket options for a darn clock. I checked the link, but it makes no mention of a clock in the specs.

Anyone actually OWN one of these yet? Not the custom mount ofcourse, but the Navi unit itself?

Thanks,
Hockey

It has a clock on its display and even one ups that! The Nuvi also tells you about what time you arrive at your destination. Pretty slick. Mine updates the time as i speed or slow down. =-) The Nuvi also clocks your average speed and top speed. Too bad no G forces or 0-60. You could do a 0-100-0 run though because it shows the amount of time you spent moving and the time you were stopped over a trip distance.

Rick posted an update on another thread last week:

I've been out of the country and on vacation for the last month, so I've been out ot touch.

The work on the modules by the engineering design students at OSU Okmulgee was delayed by some enrollment issues that the department chair had to deal with first. I'm trying to get an update on where the design work stands and will relay the news once I have it.

I'm the guy who will be driving down there so the students can test fit it to an S2000 once they have a prototype. I'll post up pictures as soon as I get some as long as Rick says it's cool.

Hi Rick,

I just upgraded my 2730 to the new 2820...

You're probably aware that it has two inputs on the left side of the unit (one for line out, and one for the bluetooth mic), and USB connection on the rear of the unit (for the XM antenna).

Hopefully your team is taking this into account when making the molds...

Stil waiting patiently...
