It would seem that way. Remember, we are getting new owners of S2000s that have been brought up with automatics. They have been used to sitting there in the driver's seat using their right hands to scratch themselves between their legs while their left foot has been hanging out the open window.

Over here it is the other way round - very few autos!
Every one learns "stick" from 17.

And this sense (and only this sense ........ ), you have a perfect world.

Over here, we've got a couple of generations of kids coming into driving age who wonder if that 3rd pedal is the "turbo" switch for MarioKart and can't figure out where to shove the magic mushroom to activate it.

Okay, so now we have the How do you shift to 3rd thread, Do you downshift or go neutral coming to a stop, How do you let off the clutch, and now How do you shift from 1st to 2nd....

If you have to "think" about how to shift, maybe you shouldn't be driving manual in the first place!

85% of americans cant drive standard

of the remaining 15, 90% dont understand how to drive it "properly"

as evidenced by countless internet threads ive read.....
