i just bought a used injen intake for my 02 and the filter seems to be a little dirty and crunched up a bit. should i buy a new filter? if so, does anyone know the replacement # for the filter?

if i can just clean it and reuse it, would the k&n cleaning kit work? thanks for any input.

 

Yes, the K&N cleaning kit is what you need to clean it with. Make sure there are no holes in it.

 

Just buy a new air cleaner/filter. It's not very expensive to even begin with. No point washing used filters.

 

Also, if the "pleats" on the air filter are too bent, it will impede air flow. Just get a new one.
