Well, mine's pretty easy. Mark's my first name and S2K you can guess. I was actually thinking about getting a personalized license plate with my handle, but decided against it.

Brought my S2K home and my 10 year old son
comes running out......."cool Dad, looks like a Spectre".

I asked him why a Spectre....he says "it looks ghostly Dad". I must be getting old!

Ok, well here goes:

Hootsama is one of the key phrases in a dialect crafted by friends of mine at the University of Iowa many years ago. Although I am not a Hawkeye myself, I became an advocate of this language because I appreciated the development of novel words intended to provide simplicity in communication. (I see this as evolution...)

"Hootsama", loosely means "What".

Like "Dude", it can be used in many different contexts to convey many different messages, depending on diction, inflection, etc.

A few real world examples:
"Hootsama with the 1st to 2nd grind?" - What's with the damned grind?

"..I spoke to Mr. Hootsama at Honda, and he told me they wouldn't replace my convertible top under warranty.." - I spoke to so-and-so.... (you get the idea)

or

"Hootsama?!?!?!?" - "Wassssupp!?!?!"

The uses for this word are endless, and although it is juvenile in many respects to use slang, each time I speak these words or pass them along to others, I am offering my respect and gratitude for my long lost Iowa friends.

peace.

Hoots.

T for Tom, Fota as in my last name. I'm with Greg Stevens & Chris D'Elena on this one, although I use boyracer in some other places.

On another, short-lived board, I did go by BXTR BTR, which is my license plate.

I named my server 'wakewatcher' at my recreational property on lake Samm. I use it for keeping an eye on the wakes. Take a peak at http://wakewatcher.inetcam.com/lakehouse/

You might even see my silver/black on the driveway cam.

Since I like autocrossing, that's what the autox part of my name is. The EX is my weapon of choice, '96 Accord EX 5sp until my car comes.

Once upon a time I was watching CNN, amazed at the a$$ kicking our Air Force was giving Saddam. The reporter mentioned a very effective munition they were using. It was called the "MK20 Rockeye 2" cluster bomb.

Neat.

I needed a differant name for my fledgling bike racing team. A slight change and Roceye Racing was born.

Amazing isn't it?
