V-AFC
Can someone explain what this actually is. I understand that it's a VTEC Airflow converter, but what does it do, is this a simple mod. If I were to buy one, what do I need to know. Also do I need anything else with it. I have no clue about this stuff Help me out.
Not trying to thread jack here, but I have a related question that I've never seen anyone ask so this may help the OP as well.
Say I've got a VAFC, the car is tuned for the mods I've got and then I decide to sell the car. If I want to go back to stock air/fuel ratios do I just simply unplug the unit and I'm done? If not, what all is involved?

radtech,
I'm not sure these folks actually answered your question.
Apexi's VAFC is one of several different "piggyback" controllers that can be hooked into your S2000's engine management system using custom wiring harnesses. These products are programmable and tuners can use them to adjust the fuel injector timing and spark timing based on modifications you have on your car and / or fuel you're using.
Generally speaking, a piggyback ECU can be used unless radical changes to your motor require a complete stand-alone replacement for engine management.
I'm not an expert, but I'm learning...
