Is it really necessary to take off the front bumper for installing the intake or can it be installed by just removing the wheel-well cover? Also. I was going to order that umbrella/heat shield off e-bay, has anyone bought from that seller and does that "speed infiniti" umbrella fit good on the aem filter?

you don't need to remove the front bumper...however, I did, it just makes life easier...taking the bumper off is NOT hard
