I avoid valet parking.

If you're going to be worried about the car while you are having dinner or whatever and then worry afterwards about what they may have done to it, why valet it in the first place?

Plus, I don't want my S crammed in where it's likely to get door dinged, bumpers scarped, etc as a result of 100 cars occupying space that should only have 50 to 75.

I guess you've never parked in a French supermarket car park then?

Potfish,

Believe it or not I have parked in markets, restaurants and hotels in France and other European countries. Without a doubt, parking takes on a whole different perspective on your side of the ocean, especially in the major cities. I feel for you...

I let my GTO get valet parked once just to impress a girlfriend's parents (they came to dinner with us). That parking episode nearly turned into a complete disaster.
Have you guys never seen those hidden camera shows? They did one segment on valet parking. All I can say is ...................
I'll park it myself and walk a few blocks if I have to. NOONE will ever drive my car unless I know them and I'm sitting in the other seat.

Yeah, pay them on the way in.. That way they use YOUR money to refill the gas they use on their "test drive"! Just say NO to valet parking...

Can you say, "Ferris Beuller's Day Off?"

I wouldn't be able to enjoy my dinner. I would only imagine the big fat grin on the valet guy's face after hitting the rev limiter a few times in my 'S', driving down Pacific Coast Hwy.

Needless to say I never valet!

I second that! Never v-a-l-e-t !!!

Two people have moved my car besides the dealer, one being a valet. Both times resulted in a distroyed front spoiler. Never let anyone except the dealer move your car.... Ever!
