There was something like 400 new cars sold in Germany this year. Way down from the 1200 sold in the 2000 model year. I'll see another S maybe every 3 days on the streets, but in the winter, hardly ever!

Rare? Yes, definitely more rare to see than a 350Z, any Audi, BMW, or Merc. Collectible? Hmm.

Shop all of the dealers. I got my new 04 in April for under invoice. Several other dealers wanted list price or would only take a coupe of hundred off of sticker. Find a motivated dealer and save thousands.

Besides the issue is it rare or not, I for one hope it retains its value down the road. Only time will tell and not one's personal opinion

I quess rare is relative but there was a lot of late 60's mustanges made and now I'd say they are rare. Relative to the population I'd say 1,000 per state or something like 1 per 10,000 people is pretty f-in rare.
