I just paid 18k for an 04 with 11,500 miles. (Private party sale.)

Before that, I was looking at a dealership '05 with 17k miles. It was on the lot for 45 days before the dealer dropped the price to 18k. It sold less than a week later (to someone else unfortunately.)

Yea, I don't think the value of S2000s is going to balloon in this economy.

The FD RX7 cost a bunch more new. I hope the S2K does become a collectible but I suspect it depends more on what similar new cars come to market than its intrinsic goodness.

I don't buy my car with the intent of selling it back.

Hmm just depends really NSXs,Supras are still holding there value well. But look at Rx7s and other cars like that not holding there value to well. Really if there is demand for them than hey they will hold if not than guess what the value just drops its like this with any car. Now if any would hold i would have to go with the CRs seeing there was only 668 made in 08 and not sure about 09 as of now. So if any S2000 would hold good value i would have to think that it would be the CRs.

I'm thinking of putting my '00 up for sale. Getting kind of bored with it. No crazy mods on mine. Stock for the most part. It's got 36 k on it.

Maybe in certain regions of the country they are rare, however in densely populated areas with decent weather they are a dime a dozen.
I will happily give you a dime for a dozen, just round em up I will even pay shipping

I can see the S2K becoming a collectible, for the rare few. In my opinion it just doesn't have the same kind of desireablility as an NSX, Supra or RX-7. After all, those cars hold some of the biggest racing titles in the history of cars, and can hold their own in the style and available power department. the S2K is just in a whole different category, more comparable (market wise) to an MR2 than to a Supra Turbo.

No shipping, P/U only, prefer local buyers
