I bought the thin sheet of aluminum at ACE Hardeware, its very thin, you can actually cut it with scissors.

im still pretty fustrated that even with a space that is 1/4inch water still get its to the latch by the box entrance, its like theres no way around it, no way for good protection. Gotta think of something...

I guess I will have to get some better pix for you. Where I left the 1/4 inch gap water has NO chance of getting into the intake, The gap is off to the right side of the intake and if water were to drain through that it would miss the intake by like 4-6 inches.

I'll tell you what I did. I have a comptech intake with a TS hood. The vents sit right over the box. In addition, I dreemeled out part of the lid, so I could use my Speed STB. Water got inside once, so I drilled a coulple of holes in the bottom of box, at its lowest point....no more water collection and I am not obstruction the vents.

QUICK...I may be turning my car into a daily again, and need to know exactly how you did this...can you post pics of the under hood (ie hood open)? That would be great!

I have the same hood with the PRM intake, so a lot of sucking power when driving in the rain

i did the same thing as Quik except my amuse style had clips underneath so i cut the sheet and clipped it underneath the vent. i also painted it like metallic charcoal somethin or other but it goes good with the carbon fiber.
