300 miles is the planning range for my 2006 car. The fuel gauge drops quickly once lower than 1/4 tank though. I've had the low fuel light come on a couple of times and still had a couple of gallons of fuel left. Been meaning to carry a 2 gallon can and run the car until the light comes on and check this but... Gernby FlashPro tuned VTEC at 3600 rpm has not changed fuel consumption that I can see but I'm not using laboratory instruments.

While we are on the topic - how much fuel remains if you are on level roads and the low fuel light comes on?

More than a gallon. I've had the light come on, then refueled soon after, and it took less than 12 gallons to fill the 13.2 gallon tank. Happened more than once. In fact, I think its closer to 1.5 gallons left.
