I KNOW how to calculate fuel economy on a car (I'm a CS Major lol). I am writing this post in order to find out what is truly causing my car to have poor mpg. If you guys are gonna continue to be dicks, kindly leave this post and let someone who can answer my question without disrespecting me.

Thanks.
See my post #16. Given how little info you gave us, I have no idea if those are the issue, but doing a scan of the ECU might give you some clues. You can buy an OBDII adapter on Amazon for around $10.

If you want more specific suggestions, you're going to need to give us more specific info.

To add another reason fuel mileage is worse in cold weather, fluids are thicker, it takes more energy to keep them viscous.

We're not being dicks. You asked why you are getting bad gas mileage. You have not yet established what you're gas mileage is. In order to help you we need actual data and not pictures of a dash. I would expect harsher responses considering. If this was my issue I would have started the thread with some MPG numbers or at least posted them by now. That way we wouldn't be 42 posts into this and still shooting into the dark.

Filling at a half tank makes mpg looks worse than it may actually be.

^^^^Why is that,,,,Starting with a full tank, drive however far you want, refill and see how many gallons the car took. example 100 miles, 4 gal. = 25mpg or 200 miles with an 8 gal fill up is 25 mpg.

Just have always found as such, maybe something to do with the lines to the tank?

I stopped filling my Fit above a third of a tank because numbers were so much lower on those fillups it would bum me out.

I am the second biggest doofus in this thread.
