Nothing bad.
I know your trying to help, but you havnt been here for very long and giving the wrong advice isn't a good idea. Skipping gear's on an up shift is very bad for the syncros...

What if you double clutch when you skip shift?
Then you're okay -- assuming that, during the "clutch out with tranny in neutral" part of the double clutch, you let the revs drop all the way down where they need to be for the gear you're skipping to.

Double-clutch skip shift:
1. Clutch in.
2. Move shifter into neutral.
3. Clutch out.
4. Wait for revs to drop.
5. Clutch in.
6. Shift to 5th (or 6th or whatever gear you're skipping to).
7. Clutch out.

Or, instead of skip shifting, you can just quickly shift up through the gears, snick-snick-snick.

And why miss the buzz of 3rd gear acceleration, the most fun gear in this car? .... IMO. I love those 3rd gear vtec blasts off the on-ramp onto the freeway.
While 3rd gear vtec blasts are quite fun, it has been my experience that they are not always appreciated by law enforcement officials.

As Xviper states, this is not good to the syncros.........

You've been here 5 days......please learn more about the car before you start providing information.
My problem is that I often make very short answers.

Sometimes I get lazy, so I shift up from 2 to 4 and from 4 to 6 gear. But I do this at 3k - 4k rpm and shifting slowly and softly. I think this kind of shifting is not bad.
I don

Good syncro teeth:

Bad syncro teeth (Squared off teeth) as a result of skip shifting and grinding:

You are so correct. Here is the complete thread from which this topic was discussed.

I'll go back and correct my labelling.

ps. Only 3 days on here and sharp as tack.
