That is a spot for company cars. Otherwise I would be on top of that. Dash fade and leather wear? I did a search and did not find what I wanted. Are you talking about UV degradation on the leather? And don't all dashes fade (ie windshield = no protection from sunlight)?
..no reason to be a smartass about it. Well, depends on where the sun is and in which direction your car is facing if you want to get technical. If the sun is behind your car and the top is down, it will get cover the whole car's interior while if the top is up, it will won't be on your dash. If you're worried about that, you can just get a sunshade. In the end, I can care less about your car. Just asked what is your reasoning to park top down. Anyway, NFR > all.

NFR > all. You don't care about my car?
Why?
It's so pretty!
This is my first convertible, so I am still getting used to the idiosyncracies of owning one. I mainly leave the top down if I know the weather is going to be nice
and I can keep an eye on my car. I am seeing the benefit of putting the top up, though (it really can't hurt, right?). The question to ask is: What will wear out first, the soft top motor or my leather seats?
Back at my old building, I used to be able to look out the window at my S. Painfully, at the new building, I am no longer near a window. On the upside, my car is now parked in the basement garage, so no UV effects during the workday now for me.
As far as an amusing tale, I always used to park mine in a corner far away from any other cars. My other vehicles have been dented, scratched, and dinged far too many times for me to park next to anyone anymore. Well, someone decided out of all these empty spaces in our lot to park next to the S. Some of my co-workers were ragging on me about it, so when the driver came back to the car, I hit the panic button on the alarm. We all had a good chuckle at the person jumping almost 5 feet in the air when that went off.
Oddly enough, nobody ever parked next to it again after that....

Mines parked on the other side of the building so I can't see it out of my window, but when I am in the server room, I can look out the window and see it. There are only 4 cars in the parking lot at a given time (small software application company) so I dont have to worry about my car getting all banged up since the cars next to me dont move until after I leave.
I ll have to take a picture of mine. The front bumper will be less then 20 feet from my desk with 2 big windows in between. It should almost feel like i am using my hood as my desk.
I cant wait to bring it home saturday!!

Saki, nice view! aren't you afraid the silver car (Ford Fusion?) might back into yours (e.g., inattentive driver who doesn't see your low front end, who backs out and turns, as opposed to backing straight out)? at least from your window, you can keep an eye on things

My car is parked about 4 floors below me in a garage.
