I think you are being paranoid.

My car is parked about 4 floors below me in a garage.
i definitely am guilty of over-analyzing parking spots

Not so worried about cars, but the trucks that try to pull through - they usually have to back up to make it around the circle. If they hit my car, at least they'll hit the front - I need a new nose anyway. Its a good spot because its pizza slice shaped, so it keeps people from parking right up on my car. So far the only damage has come in the form of a black rubber streak from the Mexican lawn service hitting the car with a leaf blower.

When I am at work my S is in the garage at home. I can count the number of times I've driven the S to work on one hand...

Garaged at home, garaged at work. Always parked in a corner spot, well out of range of door dinging...

No windows for me either (cubicle). At least my S is safe from the elements and fairly safe from door dings in the parking structure here at work

Back on track - my view from my office:

Fwiw, my car is only in the sun part of the day, thanks to the trees. Down side is pollen and leaves always fall on it!
great pic, all the dull cars sitting together in the shade, and the brilliant S out in the sun
