Note that 303 comes in two forms, vinyl protectant and fabric protectant. The FAQ on this subject, which I'm not sure made it over to this new S2Ki site, says that the top is Acrylic/polyester, a fabric material. It then mentions vinyl too (which would require 303 vinyl protectant), but says to treat it 303 Fabric protectant (not vinyl protectant) or Porsche Tequipment acrylic/polyester protectant. So, it's pretty confusing. I'm not sure where those that are definitively saying it's one or the other are getting their information.

What I can tell you is that the FAQ (which I haven't been able to find on the "new" S2Ki) says that they've tried lots of different things and settled on 303 Fabric Protectant and Tequipment as working the best and lasting the longest. I've used Tequipment, and it seems to work well. It leaves the top a nice color, and in recent (heavy) rains, repelled water well.

Perhaps those that think the top is vinyl could identify the source of their information, and those that think it's acrlyic/polyester (fabric) could identify their source. My only source is the FAQ.

I use the porsche top protectant and it works extremely well to bead off the water. However in another post, someone told me that I wasn't supposed to use it for the S2k, so you might want to do more research. Works good for me so far though.

I believe the manual states that the top is vinyl. Although I haven't read mine recently.

Dario, I went back and looked for that in the manual last week myself, and didn't find it (although I didn't read it cover to cover like I did the first time). If anyone else found it there (or anywhere else) please post it. Thanks.
