Still struggling to apply 303 to my top
I have 303 Aerospace Protectant for the top (and interior panels). It's really tricky to apply enough of it, let alone getting it on evenly.
The FAQs say to either soak a sponge in it, which seems wasteful and messy, or to spray it on a towel and wipe the towel on the top. I've tried the towel method and it really only seems to get the towel damp, not the top. 303 is too expensive for me to use the sponge method.
What are my options? Or am I just doing this wrong....

Pour the 303 on to the sponge, don't spray it on. Compress the sponge and pour some on it. When you release the sponge, slowly, it will suck up the 303. You can then apply it evenly. When you need more squeeze the sponge. When that runs out pour a little more into the sponge. I use Raggtop and usually pour about four cap fulls into the sponge total. Of course I do this monthly or more so your initial app may require more.
The sponge you're using may be a problem as well. I use these and they work great.

sounds to me like you arent using enough...
either sponge or rag- gotta be really wet-
lotsa excess
look at it this way- 303 might be expensive, but if you dont use it, a new top is way more expensive!!

I've never had trouble using a towel to apply 303 or Raggtopp. I'd also say it sounds like you're not using enough. It's more of a waste if you're not applying it properly as you're using it up and not getting a decent application.
