Default Vinyl Top Damaged!! Please Help.

While my car was parked in the parking lot at my job last week some idiot contractor washed the concrete out of his truck right next to my car!! The entire car was covered in concrete, I thought the paint was ruined! I got home and washed the car immediatley, I was fortunate enough to get all the concrete off the paint ( Berlina Black ) however it did not come out of the top! It appears to have stained into the vinyl- I now have hundreds of white spots all over my vinyl top. What in the world can I use to clean this to get the stains out??? It looks absolutely horrible, I can't even bare to look at it- it's that much of an eyesore.

You may want to report it to the police to get the incident on record. Also take pictures. I think Wrorne is right. Any contractor is liable for damage they do to property. If both the contractor and landlord refuse to do anything about it, I suggest taking the legal route. Hence, the police report. It is possible that your insurance company can take care of all of this and it probably wouldn't affect your rates since it is not your fault.

I've heard of several circumstances where contractors spray painting near parking lots covered many cars with overspray. They were liable for cleaning up the cars.

If you have comprehensive insurance, this is the sort of thing it's for. Although this is an expensive pain, the fact that you were able to take care of the rest of the car through prompt action should give you some comfort.

Have you tried shampooing/cleaning the top with a soft bristled brush? Concrete is particulate matter and really should not get embeded too deeply in the vinyl.
If already done, well.....Good luck and definitely go the legal route.
Cheers,
Daniel

Use a sponge and soak it in 3M. Let the top dry some and then remove the excess. This might work????
