Default Vis Carbon Fiber Hood

hi, im having a hard time closing my hood and having it to lock in place. i found out that with my oem metal hood im suppose to hold it in the air a few feet and drop it and it will lock in place. But with my carbon fiber hood i cant hold it high and drop it to get it to lock because the hood is so light. can anyone help me? i didnt want to get the hoodpins...

DO NOT DROP A CF HOOD!

gently press it down until it latches, it wont close if you drop it and theres no "fix" AFAIK.

haha, you see on the cf hood i try to push it down gently to close it, but the latch just won't lock it. for my stock oem hood , i have to drop the hood in order for it to lock...do you think something can be wrong with my latch?
