Default VROOM, VROOM - Valve adjust at 30k

I just had Pasadena Honda do a valve adjust on my little baby. OH LORD. It's like new again. No more rough idle, no off hesitations. Just smooth and lovely. I highly suggest it if you are hard on your baby!!

I was thinking about getting this done. Glad to see it made a difference!

How much did it cost you? Thinking about having it done also.

I plan on doing this myself. It's not that complicated. All you need is a Helm's manual, set of feeler guages, valve cover gasket, set of metric wrenches, torque wrench and some patience.

What is a valve adjust? How often should it be done? How come the owner's manual doesn't mention to do a valve adjust?

Thanks,
Jeff

I'm doing it myself cause I can't trust the dealership to do it for me. I've heard too many horror stories of dealerships f**cking up oil changes.

Plus it's part of the ownership experience, for me at least. I love tinkering with my car. Having said that I won't be doing an engine rebuild or anything at that level.
