Those numbers don't sound too far off to me, especially if the car is equipped with other standard goodies.

The Apexi can be difficult to understand for the novice user if you want to really keep it simple I suggest the Field unit. It's pretty straight forward. Then latter you can add a fuel management unit along w/ignition control if you want.

Don't forget about the simple stuff though i.e. intake and exhaust. While it may only give you a cool sounding car right now, once you start to add other mods it will really start to make a difference

One of my favorite saying is:
Its not any particular part that makes a car fast it's the sum of the parts. (paraphrased by yours truly)

You should feel it.

Please make sure though that you have it tuned in at a dyno with an experienced tuner.

I've seen some pretty awful things happen when this step is skipped.

Most definately... Also consider that tapping into your ECU wiring will void your warranty. Consider building yourself a harness.. (if you need help, just PM me and I will help the best I can).

It was me that was working on getting some harness made. Unfortunately, the part's seem to be impossible to get a hold of. Trust me, I spent a week trying to get parts.

Dale,

Have you talked to Ultimate Lurker. I had lunch with him last week, and we were talking about a AFC harness. He might have some contacts here that can help you.

There are some significant CONs as well, one of the key importance is to adjust the right amount of air/fuel mix ratio when lowering the VTEC engagement point. Other than which, it has to properly tuned on dyno by an experienced installer. There are so many brands out there but everyone would have to agree that the Apexi V-AFC is probably the most useful one with the most features but also happens to be the most complicated one. If settings are wrong which does happens at least 50% of a time, you might find power down rather than up easily.
