I got my car past the 600 miles break in period. I drove down the highway for about ten miles and went out on a long flat stretch of country road. I drove the length of the road to make sure there were no obstacles. Once I knew it was clear, I stopped for a second and started to rev up the engine. I rev the engine to 6000 in first and took off, then into 2nd and had to wait a second to get it to VTEC in 2nd. At about 8000, I went to third, and at about 7500, I went to 4th. I thre into 5th around 6500 and then into 6th quickly. I was going 120 before I knew what had happened. It was a great rush and the car sounds so great at high revs! I don't want to push it anymore until I become 100% comfortable with the car. The power actually scared me a little bit which is a good thing. You get hurt when you don't fear the car.
The car absolutely flys although I haven't pushed it to its limit yet. To be honest though, the car is not quite as fast as I expected above 6000 RPMs but has more low end torque than I expected after one test drive and reading a lot of message bases.
Does it ever feel good to VTEC though. I think I am going to get me a Valentine one to complement my Passport 8500 because this car has the look and feel of a cop magnet!

Welcome to the club... by the way, to make it feel faster in vtec... mash the go pedal(to the floor) until you reach 9000 rpm, shift to the next higher gear and repeat as needed!

After a previous thread on top speeds, I was sent an email from Michael who claims that he did 271kph - he said this works out as about 170mph. I as ever, am sceptical, I would post the pictures but cannot work out how to
If someone would explain I will post
