I remember that agonising 1000 mile wait before trying the VTEC. But worth the wait.

Each X is 100ml (for those who use metric). Definately worth checking oil before you set off and every 200 miles or so. The first time I started using VTEC after the break in period I used 500ml very quickly then it seemed to remain steady - don't ask me why.

haha, you're acting as if the car is as fragile as a daisy. it's a CAR that's supposed to rev up to 8k RPM...meaning, you'll be fine revving it so long as your oil quality and level are both good.

that said, i don't know about actually driving 100 miles at redline....i think that might be bad for the engine.

Do you guys recommend maybe giving the car a 30 minute break each 50 miles? Or does that not matter? I plan on going the full 100 mile with no break if possible.


so you wanna be in vtec for 100 straight miles?

^^^^ what he said. I won't be on VTEC the whole way, just a lot of VTEC bursts.

for some reason i have a feeling a few things may happen on your trip...1 you encounter a cop...now u may just get a reckless ticket or depending on how fast your going proceed on the list...2 your making a phone call...3 some1 is posting bail

Thanks for the concern. I plan on staying within the speed limit, specially since VTEC is more noticeable in the lower gears.
