Default VTEC vs engine oil level?

is it in my head or the VTEC kicks in harder when the oil level is higher?

when i have "XXXX" on the dip stick, it felt like VTEC pulls harder than only "XX"... ?

possible?

probably warmed up both times and in the afternoon both times ...

perhaps, with the higher oil, the higher the oil pressure so vtec might kick in harder with more pressure. I recently had an oil change, it is righ to the top line of full now and the vtec kick was strong today, even though it was a pretty hot day.

VTEC is the shift to the high rpm cam lobes. It is either on or off, there is no such thing as 'strong' or 'weak'. It happens (or not)when the ECU switches it and is simply engaged using oil pressure, so oil level and oil type are not really factors.
