VTECing for the first time!

I know this subject has been done to death, but I just had to celebrate! Crossed the 600 mile marker yesterday, found a county backroad, and accelerated in second gear past 6000 RPM for the first time. I'm accustomed to my Integra GS-R and it's more sublime VTECing, so imagine the smile on my face when my S2K surged forward just after crossing 6000 revs! Wow what a blast, this car is a speeding ticket waiting to happen!
OK I'm feeling better now, a cold shower might help...
P.S. Anyone else go through a full quart of oil in their first 600 miles?
