Congrats from Thousand Oaks. Be aware that one half the cars on the 101 and 118 will want to race, while the other one half won't see you and will try to drive into/through/over you. Enjoy and stay safe!

[QUOTE=Ravenwerk,Oct 26 2005, 03:30 PM] Interesting. I'd really like to know how she wore out the front tires before the rears.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. The fronts should be good for 25k miles or so, but the rears...well that's another story - maybe 25k MAX. I doubt those are the original tires with 35k - they must be slicks in the rears by now even with the most conservative driving.
I picked it up!

Avoided 3 Radar traps on the way home.
Took it down my favorite triple wishbone road:

The rears and fronts wore out at the same time, they just never replaced the rears.. There is tread left after 36k, but sure not much.

She drove very conservative me suspects
I'll have pictures tommorrow

Thanks Mloomis, yep my daughter and I drove down to TireGuy's shop in Artesia, and someone tried to drive over me, I guess thats what we get for living in the land of the SUVs.

By the way, the TireGuy wasnt there, but still the shop treated me good, getting me in and out, with new rear tires, in less than 25 minutes.

One of my old rear tires was showing belts in one spot, though I may have contributed to that in my 4 days of ownership

No races yet, though this car is freaking fun to drive around town. Its amazing what trouble you can get into without going more than 7mph over the speed limit.

Whats your favorite drives around here? My favorite is Grimes Canyon Road, Highway 23 that goes between Moorpark and Fillmore.

It includes this incredible stretch:

Congrats. Enjoy the feeling of 'new' car ownership.
