Default Wanting to pull the tape, but need some info

I'm wanting to pull the tape from around the windshield, but am needing some more info on the process. For those of you who have done this, what did you go through to do it. I'm thinking the heat gun on low and wearing my fingernails down to the quick. One thing is did you take the trim from around the windshield and from around the outside of the frame against the top. Also how does it look on a silverstone?

I would strongly recommend against doing this mod if your car is older than an '02. The longer the tape remains on the car, the more it's exposed to the sun which overtime, will esentually back the tape on. It also seems most of the owners who have removed the tape to find damaged paint have been owners of older S's. Just a heads up...

Some (including myself) think it looks better without the tape.
