Its sweet with a hardtop...

 

That's it in a nutshell. Since my hardtop is on for about 22 weeks and during the other 30 weeks of the year the softtop is down over 95% of the time I took the tape off and love it.

 

I took off the tape of my MY00 last summer. After sitting in the sun for a few hours in 90+ degree weather, the tape came off with little effort. A little bit of adhesive was left over in a few spots, but that was easily removed with adhesive remover (I used Goo-Gone.)

Some owners have found scratches or damage to the paint after removing the tape, but mine was perfect.
