Default Warranty & Hardtop?

Hi All,

I've been lurking on the forums for about a year and I'm finally ready to buy a new 2004 S2000 from a local dealer.

I am interested if the extended warranty offered from www.hardtopguy.com is a true Honda warranty that would be honored by any Honda dealer nationwide?

The cost for a 7 year, 100k mile warranty is about $1,350 from hardtopguy. This seems like a fair deal? Also, anuone know if this type of warranty is tranferable?

Also, had anyone ordered a hard top from them? Is it a true Honda OEM hardtop? I emailed hardtopguy but haven't received a reply.

Thanks!

Hardtopguy (Jeff) works for Ganley Honda and sells genuine Honda stuff. As for transferability, ask Jeff to be sure. I think it can be transfered once? As for it being fair, he's usually cheaper than anyone else for parts but don't know about warrantees. Best to compare.
Might try to PM him instead. I've not known him to be more than a few days getting back to people. He may be off for the holidays.

I am pretty sure that the warranty is NOT transferrable. However, if you sell the car before the end of the warranty period, you get a partial refund.
