COMPLETE waste of money!

1) The 'customer' has some ballz. Seriously, there are things I just don't agree with, but I at least have enough perspective to realize that not everyone has the same opinion as me. Thus, I wouldn't dare tell someone they made the 'wrong' decision. It was their decision so why should I care.

2) My guess.... pure jealousy! If not, ignorance. At the very least, a person that doesn't understand that people have different interests (but I guess that falls under ignorance ).

So apparently you understand that YOUR opinion is what REALLY matters.

Or maybe not, as you're asking for opinions here.

I think people need to care less about what others think.

I don't think it was worth it. You could have bought a used one for much less.

It sounds like you've got buyer's remorse. It's going to be a lot of money every month... for years..................................... and years.

bummer... the best you can do for now is pay on it. Don't sell it. You'll lose your @$$.

but "waste of money" type comments are their own opinions... I know people who LOVE my car and other things it's "impractical"... ultimately, it's your choice and not theirs

 

07s2k- I think you probably paid MSRP and the extra money was tax's and fees.
Since you bought with no money down or a trade-in you really had no leverage so the deal may have been fairly reasonable considering.

35 msrp + taxes license, extended warranty and gap = just under 40k financed

I have owned MANY cars and absolutely LOVE my 2006 S2000. It sure isn't perfect, though.

This also is my first Honda. While I really do enjoy the car, I find the S2000 is built to such low tolerances it is easy to get yourself in trouble if you alter anything on it --as I just found with some aftermarket rims!

The engine, transmission and suspension are simply sweet; the handling is true sports-car level; fit and finish is superb; the styling is clean and timeless; the brakes can be a little strange; the digital IP is debatable; the body panels have the strength of a beer can; the engine sound takes getting used to --unless you get a CAI; and the stock wheels are just plain boring.

I have friends who own BMWs and Porsches. For a LOT more money they get the brand pedigree, excellent handling; sensual engines, buttery transmissions and sexy body styling. But they also get plasticky interiors and TONS of gremlins with power window regulators, top motor, etc. --which need fixing over and over.

All in all, S2000 is the BEST ROADSTER FOR THE MONEY. PERIOD.

 

he was just jealous man, keep your head up. What other people say shouldnt get you down. I am asumming you havent driven your car since this happened though since at least for me, whenever i drive my car i instantly feel great. I guess that could just be me though.

I would argue that in most cases bringing a trade-in to the table gives more leverage to the dealership. As it is a dealership isn't going to give a fair private-party value for a trade in (at least not without padding the price of the new car). At the very least it's one more number the dealership can keep changing in an attempt to confuse the buyer.
