That would be the obvious mod, but it would look like ass and the car is also my daily driver. Was looking for more of a sleeper route.

You can try the Spoon Gusset Plate..they are suppose to make your wheel line super stiff...I don't know where you can get them though

SiDriver... do you track your car now?
Have you talked to guys in the racing forum to see what - if anything - they do?

the floor bars (the ones that go parallel near the frame rails) helped quite a bit with forward and aft response.

the front muz brace was noticable as well with front end stability.

the asm front strut bar helped to further reinforce the front end while also adding some steering response.

the rear asm bar and beatrush under brace though, wasn't as pronounced-feeling as the other chassis mods i've done.

I was looking at either the nagisa auto or j's fender braces, but wanted ease of installation and a non-permanent solution which the j's offers.

I do admit that the s2000 chassis is rigid.....for a convertible since everyone compares it to a miata, but still can be improved upon.

I've heard that the fender braces are a HUGE stiffening mod. It makes sense. There was some magazine that did it on an EVO claiming very good results. I forgot which magazine, but Mike Kojima was the writer of the article. He's an automotive engineer and owns a race car. Though I sometimes disagree with some of the stuff he says....he's pretty sensible a majority of the time.

Look into those. See if anyone has them and what they think. J's makes a set for around $250, IIRC. That's cheap.
Oh yeah, about the fender braces, i've had them on my previous 2 door subaru and they made a HUGE difference, especially with aggressive suspension. Definitely connected the front end of the car. I'm a little wary to compare it to the s2k though since the subaru has a macpherson strut setup compared to the s2k's double wishbone.

How about a hardtop? Not sure what it does for the S chassis but I have seen numbers for other rag tops when a removable hardtop is installed that indicate a significant improvement in body rigidity.

What kind of numbers exactly? A faster time around the track w/ the hardtop could be due to aerodynamics more than rigidity.

the macpherson strut vs double wishbone comparison wouldn't matter here. Chassis structure would. I'm not sure how much difference it makes on the S2000. If the S2000 allready has chassis bracing there, then the fender brace my not be very effective. Or if that part of the chassis doesn't get as much stress as the subaru's chassis section.
