Are we lucky or what ???
This happened an hour ago and I'm still smiling.
I went to my local grocery store to get a few things.
As I was returning to my car, I noticed the "cart corral" kid closing in. He was no more than 15 and looked like Beaver Cleaver. He came right over and said "I love your car, would you consider taking me around the parking lot one time?".
I'd been having one of those days, the kind where your inner voice is saying " why is it so damn hot?", "why do I have so many bills?", "is my kid going to get in to college?", etc.
For some reason, I said "hop in" and proceeded to take a little "spin". Outside the parking lot, obviously. I could'nt take it to 9k there!
He knew everything about this car and had a s**t eating grin on his face the entire time, ( which was no more than 3-4 minutes as we looked for "errant" carts around the perimeter of the lot!)
When I dropped him back off at the store, he said "thanks, you made my day".
I was a few blocks away when I realized he had, in fact, made my day!
Are we a lucky bunch or what??

That's really nice. It's amazing what you often get when you give.
I remember how I would have felt if a hot S2k lady had given me a drive around town when I was fifteen. Hey, I wouldn't turn it down now.
