You will definitely feel that much weight. I put sand bags in my trunk for the salty/slushy roads, I felt it right away. The car just doesn't pull as hard when I get on it. Here's the best things to do to put your S on a diet.
1. Gut the trunk
2. Hard top/remove soft top motor
3. Lightweight wheels
4. Intake/header/exhaust saves a lot of weight
5. Remove A/C (it's a convertible you don't need it)
6. Feels or Buddy Club lightweight battery relocated to the trunk
7. Remove the radio (if you're serious about tracking it)
8. Lighter brakes (expensive but well worth it for weight reduction and stopping power)
That should get you at <2600 lbs. After that, start replacing metal with carbon fiber. My goal for my car is 2500 pounds. GL

I don't know, I don't let my car get that low on gas in this lovely weather we've been having. Also, one bar of gas is a bad time to be using VTEC. That one bar can disappear pretty quickly at 9,000rpm.
