Hey guys , I just took delivery of my 2003 GPW AP1... definitley the most fun Ive had in a long time driving this around. But I'm running into a few problems that I think somone might be able to help me. First off... as my topic states my suspension squeeks... not all the time but it squeeks when I hit medium type bumps or small bulges on the road, at first I thought it would be the front sway bar bushing being dry an stuff... so I used lithium grease and silicone to lube it up a little.... it didnt work. Any idea where this annoying squeeking might be coming from? Any help would be aprpeciated Thank you!

Oh and I'm using Motul Xcess 8100 5w40 motor oil any opinions on that?

did some digging and found out it might be from the hood latch, gonna grease that bad boy up tomorrow

 

I had a hood latch squeek on my AP1. Get out and press down on the hood where the latch is...BUT BE CAREFULL. Aluminum hood can dent if you're not. If you hear any squeek or even feel some play in there, then you may need to adjust the latching mechanism.

 

Problem solved! the culprit was definitley the hood latch! grease her up and the mouse that lives in ur dashboard is gone!
